Railway to be begin 1.40 Lakh recruitment from December 15

Sarkari Job update- There is a important announcement from The Indian Railway by Railway Board Chairman V K Yadav, Railway to be begin 1.40 Lakh recruitment from December 15. Mr Yadav said that around 1.4 Lakh job vacancy will be announce from 15th December 2020. Railway will conduct computer based exam for 1.4 Lakh posts categories of posts is following-

Non-technical popular categories (NTPC) (Guards, Office Clerks, Commercial clerks and others)- 35,208 Posts.

Isolated and Ministerial categories (Steno and Teaches)- 1,663 Posts.

Level-One vacancies (Track Maintainers and Pointsman)- 1,03,769 Posts.

Mr Yadav said that railway invited applications for recruitment in different categories for 1,40,640 posts. These were notified in the Pre- COVID 19 period. Scrutiny of these applications was completed, but due to COVID-19 computer-based examination could not be completed”.

Mr Yadav said that since now the experience of holding examination for the JEE and NEET is there, it was felt that the Railways too can initiate the process which had to be halted due to COVID 19 pandemic.

Standard operating procedures (SOP) for conducting the exam are being created.
